Over 1,300 BTO flats with 3-year wait time to launch in June

By June’s end, 1,352 Build to Order (BTO), or flats BTO will be on the market in Woodlands and Tampines. The wait time is about three years.

The most shortest wait time in the next sale exercise will be for a 791-unit subdivision located in Woodlands. Marsiling Peak I.

The first apartment with shorter wait times will be available in 2024 that’s less than three years.

The Tampines GreenTopaz project, which is located close to the Tampines West MRT Station, will provide 561 flats. There is an additional waiting time of three years and one month.

In 2024, more than 2800 homes with shorter waiting times will be offered. This includes more than 22,000 units sold during the sales exercise that took place in October.

In 2023, the company was slated to release 2,000 – 3,000 flats per year, with shorter waiting times by 2025.

HDB in close collaboration with our construction partners as well as other government agencies, is now capable of doing this a full year earlier than planned, in 2024.

The company will continue to adjust its construction program in the future, so that apartments with shorter waiting times like those with waiting times of less than four years, make the largest portion of the new inventory.

Along Admiralty Road, Marsiling Lane will be developed into Marsiling Peak I. This complex will comprise two-room flexi flats, as in addition to three five and four-room apartments. The three blocks vary in height between 31 and 35 stories.

Woodlands North and Woodlands Checkpoint MRT Stations are approximately 2km away from the development.

The flats of the complex provide panoramic views of the Strait of Johor and nearby parks, and also the central courtyard of the building.

The company also said that the blocks would be crafted with shades and brown accents, in the style of Woodlands which is a town that was named for its densely forested look when seen from Johor.

A food and market is located in the neighbourhood center. Other amenities nearby are Causeway Point Shopping Complex, Woodlands Civic Centre, and Admiralty Park.

The project will comprise 791 flats, in addition to the 1,590 units to be constructed in Woodlands in June. They will also comprise third generation units.

Tampines GreenTopaz is a four-block development of 12 – to 13-storeys. It will have 561 flats that are two-room flexi as well as five- or four-room configurations. One block will have 24 apartments for rent.

The development will have shops and restaurants, a supermarket store, as well as a preschool. The development is situated near the Tampines Park Connector which leads to Bedok Reservoir Park.

The sale in June will comprise more than 6,800 flats that are new and developments in Jurong East, Queenstown Kallang/Whampoa, and Yishun. HDB hasn’t announced the exact date for launch.

The initial BTO project to go live in Chencharu will comprise 1,270 units located in Yishun which is a rapidly growing housing zone.

Around 19,600 BTO homes will be sold in total through three sales campaigns before 2024.

Bagnall Haus Showflat

The 2024 launch’s final date is scheduled for the month of October. It will also be the year that new flat classifications for the first time will be in force, including Prime Plus, Standard, or Prime.

BTO units that are located in desirable areas will be classified into the categories of Prime or Plus. They have more stringent requirements for resales, like a minimum occupancy time of 10 years (MOP) and a subsidy clawback.

Standard flats will comprise the majority of the housing stock that is available to public. They will be able to have an MOP of five years, and no restrictions on buyers who want to resell.
